Apparently, due to the events of this week, my parents believe I am lacking some form of common sense. Everything that I do, and everything that happens to me is supposed to happen just the way that it does. I do what I want to do and will continue to do so, and if certain things happen that stress me out or are not in my initial plans, that’s life. I have plenty of common sense, if I didn’t clearly my parents would have a totally different daughter. Nevertheless, if they didn’t yell at me today, I would feel like they didn’t care and weren’t being parents anymore… I need that extra guidance and extra push of disheartening words sometimes to keep me motivated and interested. ALL of my work gets completed, I always ATTEND class, me getting a ticket was my fault and not my boyfriend’s just because I decided to go visit him for his birthday, and the roof leaking in my room was HAMPTON UNIVERSITY’S fault, it was only a safety issue after my mother called the school and then and only then was it deemed “a health/safety” hazard. People can yell at me all they want to, and I hear what they’re saying, but everything that happened during the week was supposed to happen. I’m happy to be alive, I’m happy that I turned all of my work in and finished it, AND I’m happy that this week is over and I only have a few more weeks left in this semester…I also have interviews on the horizon!!
